Terms and Conditions for Quiz

I. Contest Details:

“Quiz” (or “Quiz for Wisdom”) is a cross-platform quiz game competition that tests logic and problem-solving skills. This exciting contest is a collaborative production with RevoEducation Private Limited (“Company”) and will be available for streaming and broadcast on the mobile OTT platform, JIO Cinema (“Channel”) by Viacom 18 , Jio Platform (“Steaming Partner”) . Which is owned by the Company and/or its affiliates.

Second. Definitions:

“Registrant”: Any person who registers for QUWIS conducted by the Company and who (i) is a citizen of India and resides in India (iv) is of sound mind and fit (v) must enter into this Contest and its Verticals will only accept entries on their own behalf and will not accept entries by proxy, even for their family members and (vi) enter the Contest as per the terms and conditions stated below. Registrant must be under 18 years of age by ______________ to enter the Contest based on the unconditional consent of his/her parent/legal guardian. Employees of the Contest and its divisions, affiliates and subsidiaries, vendors (including auditors), agents and promoters (including their immediate family members), and others connected in any way with the Contest; Persons other than Indian citizens, or Indian citizens resident outside India, or who do not qualify under the definition of resident of India as per the Income Tax Act, 1961 or who are not conversant in spoken English or Hindi or Marathi are ineligible for admission. Contest and if they participate or register to participate by misrepresentation, the Company will, at its sole discretion, disqualify and discontinue such participation.
“Participant”: Any person who (i) participates in the QUWIS Pre Qualification Quiz (defined below) conducted by the Company as on the cutoff date declared by the Company (ii) is studying for the academic year 2023-24 (iii) Must be under the age of eighteen (18) to enter the Contest subject to the unconditional consent of his/her parent/legal guardian in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth below.
“Parent and/or Legal Guardian”: Participant’s natural parents are his or her biological father or mother and shall include individuals who take legal responsibilities of the child by virtue of adoption or as foster parents. In any case, the relationship has to be established through proper documentation and the Company will have the sole discretion to decide whether to allow such participants. Legal guardian shall mean a guardian appointed by the District Court under the relevant provisions of the Guardians and Wards Act, 1890. Any other claim for guardianship will have to be established through appropriate documentation and the Company will have the sole discretion to take the decision. To allow such participants. For the avoidance of doubt, the parent and/or legal guardian must be an adult citizen of India residing in India.
“Back-up Contestant”:
“Streaming Partners”: Viacom 18 , Jio Platforms and/or its affiliates, holding companies, subsidiaries, group companies, related entities, format owners, etc., Organizers of the Contest.
“Company”: RevoEducation Private Limited and/or its associates, holding companies, subsidiaries, group companies, related entities, format owners etc.
“Contributor”: Any person, other than the Participants, who participates, participates and/or is present in any Quiz Round and/or Contest.
“Episode”: An episode of the Contest that will be streamed on OTT.
“QUWIS Pre Qualification Round”: means the reasoning skills based online quiz which will be played by the Participant (defined above) as per the Terms and Conditions on JIO Cinema App;
“Terms and Conditions”: These terms and conditions governing the Contest are set forth herein in their entirety, as may be amended from time to time.
“Schedule”: An Episode or a set of Episodes that are to be recorded and/or on dates pre-determined by the Company.
“Studio Portion”: That portion of a Recorded Studio Contest that takes place in the studio, whether or not part of the Contest.
“Studio”: means the studio located at the address, Mumbai or any other studio decided by the Company where the Contest/Part of the Contest/Promo of the Contest is shot.

Third. Format, gameplay and process for participating in the competition

A. QUWIS Pre Qualification Round

QUWIS Pre Qualification Round will be a daily quiz consisting of 8 multiple choice questions available to play on the app at 20:00:00 every day from 4th December 2023 to 27th January 2024.
The cellular number from which the registration is received or input by the registrant will be used as the unique identification number received to identify the registrant.
To be eligible for selection and participation in the further rounds of the Contest, the Registrant must attempt and answer the maximum number of questions correctly in the stipulated time displayed on the App before the declared cut-off time.
If one exits the game screen at any point in the Quiz Pre Qualification Round Quiz before finishing the final question, the registrant will not be able to join back at any time thereafter and continue/retry the Quiz Daily Quiz .
Registering for QUWIS Pre Qualification Round using the App (Available on iOS and Android platforms):

To register through the app, follow the following procedure:

Download the app from the application store. Please note, download of the app is free, however data charges may apply. For more information about data charges, please contact your service provider.
Enter your mobile number. Please note that we will be able to contact you only if the mobile number shared by you is registered with the service provider in India.
Enter your mobile number and search unique username.
Complete registration by reading and accepting the Terms and Conditions to participate in the Contest.
Provide voluntary consent to share personal data with RevoEducation Pvt. Ltd.

B. QUWIS qualifying round

Participants with top 2 scorers in the QUWIS Qualification Round Quiz from 4th December 2023 to 27th January 2024 will be eligible to participate in the QUWIS Offline Selection Round.
Participants will be invited through in-app push notifications and/or direct calls and emails on the mobile number and email ID provided at the time of registration.
QUWIS qualification round will consist of 20 questions and 10 marks will be allotted for each question. The exam will be taken on OMR sheet. There is no negative marking. 20 minutes time will be provided to answer all the questions. This examination will be conducted in the centre.
The ranking of the participants will depend on the correct answer given for each question.

IV. General Terms and Conditions

Participation in the Contest by submitting entries in any of the above ways will constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions.
These Terms and Conditions may be subject to amendment from time to time and participation in the Competition will be deemed acceptance of these amended Terms and Conditions.
The Contest or the Company does not distribute or announce any lottery, prize money, cash prizes, etc. Any person who claims to be from the Company and asks the Registrant to pay entry fee for participating in the Contest or claims that the Registrant has won any lottery or cash prize from the Contest or the Company, is is cheating and the registrant should immediately report it to the local police.
If any entry fee is payable, it will be for QUWIS qualifying round only and payable directly to RevoEducation. Be wary of anyone who claims to guarantee participation or advancement to any additional rounds of QUWIS by paying a certain amount of money. Any fee payable will be only for participation in further rounds and will not guarantee any prize.
Participation is open to all citizens of India of good health and mind under the age of 18 years. Individuals must participate in the Contest and its arenas only on their own behalf and entries by proxy will not be accepted, even for their family members.
No entries are transferable.
Employees of the Company and its divisions, associates and subsidiaries, agents and promoters (including their immediate family members), vendors (including auditors) and others connected in any way with the Contest; Persons other than Indian citizens, or Indian citizens resident outside India, or who do not qualify under the definition of resident of India as per the Income Tax Act, 1961 or who are not conversant in spoken English or Hindi or Marathi Are; are ineligible to participate in the Contest and if they participate or register to participate by misrepresentation, the Company will, at its discretion, disqualify and discontinue such participation. Failure to provide proof or affidavit of eligibility including proof of name, address and correct date of birth within a reasonable time upon request by the Company may result in disqualification. The Company also reserves the right to disqualify the Registrant if any discrepancy is found in the information given/provided/stated by the Registrant during interaction with the Company or any sub-contractor of the Company and the contest vendors. , and/or in the information provided in the documents submitted by the registrant.
If entries are received for participation, it is deemed that the participant sending the entry and his/her parent and/or legal guardian (in case of a minor) has given permission to the Company to send him/her SMS or call him/her . The Company will contact the Participant only on the mobile number provided by the Participant at the time of registration.
If any entry or participation fee is charged, such fee will be a one-time payment and will be non-refundable. The Company will not be responsible to entertain any concerns regarding payment of any such participation fees. No cash payment will be allowed.
Entrant’s parent and/or legal guardian confirms Entrant’s attendance on the dates notified by the Company for the various rounds of the Contest.
The parent(s) and/or legal guardian of the Entrant(s) shall undertake, warrant and guarantee to the Company that the Entrant(s) has the full legal capacity to participate in the Contest in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Entrant(s)’s parent(s) and/or legal guardian represent that Entrant(s) has not been charged or convicted of or otherwise involved in any criminal offense (including acts of moral turpitude and harassment including but not limited to) and/or is subject to investigation or investigation by the police or judiciary which has not been disclosed to the Company in writing. That the Contestant is not required to appear before any authority including the Police or any court during the shooting dates informed by the Company and does not have any other disability which would prevent the Contestant from participating in the Contest (if selected ).
Entrant’s parent and/or legal guardian acknowledges that participation in the Contest is voluntary and Entrant’s parent/legal guardian agrees to bear all risks, costs and consequences arising from such participation in the Contest. It is a condition of entry and participation in the Competition that the entrant has not entered into any contractual, commercial, sponsorship agreement (for example including but not limited to recording, performance and/or sales contracts) or other arrangements. If the Company has reason to believe that a National Finalist has any symptoms of being infected with COVID-19 or any other communicable infection/disease, the Company has the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel their participation on an immediate basis. Any delay or failure on the part of the Finalist’s parent and/or legal guardian to notify the Company of the Finalist’s symptoms may result in disqualification.
The Company cannot be held liable if a National Finalist contracts the COVID-19 virus or any disease during the shooting even after the Finalist has taken all necessary precautions and been vaccinated.
The Company will be responsible for arranging or paying for the travel, accommodation and meal expenses of the finalists and their parents and/or legal guardians for the purpose of the shoot. If the Company cannot make arrangements then the parents and/or legal guardian of the National Finalist may claim reimbursement with prior approval from the Company. The Company is not responsible for covering these costs for any additional third persons or family members of the Finalists. The finalist’s parent and/or legal guardian will at all times be responsible for obtaining all appropriate permissions to enable him or her to travel to participate in the Contest and the Company will not be responsible for the same at any time.
The parents and/or legal guardians of the finalists undertake to abide by all central or state government guidelines or regulations related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Finalists and their teammates are advised to always follow the advisories issued by the respective government regarding social distancing and wearing of masks for their own safety and the safety of those around them. Finalists’ parents and/or legal guardians agree to Finalists’ participation in the Contest at their own risk, and agree to release the Company from any liability associated, directly or indirectly, to the fullest extent permitted by law. As a result of any COVID-19 related illness (or loss of life) that a Finalist and/or any relative of a Finalist may suffer.
In the event of delay or failure on the part of the Finalists to make themselves available for the Contest or due to any force majeure event or any other reason, the Company may, at its discretion, choose to reschedule the Shoot for such Finalists. And there will be no compulsion to do so, otherwise the finalists may be removed/disqualified at the sole discretion of the Company. However, the parents and/or legal guardians of the Finalists understand that the Finalists being unable to participate in the Contest on the given dates for any reason will cause great and irreparable loss to the Company. The finalist’s parent and/or legal guardian undertakes to follow all health and safety guidelines issued by the Company. V. Personal Information and Privacy

The Company may, at its discretion, contact participants or their parents and/or legal guardians, if necessary, for any clarifications regarding the information provided at registration.
The Company reserves the right to demand proof of identity and/or eligibility at any time. Failure to provide such proof within a reasonable time may result in disqualification from the competition.
If there is any discrepancy in the details of the participants at any round or stage of the Contest, the participants may be disqualified from further participation in the Contest, if the participants are unable to resolve the discrepancies.
All personal information and information requested by each Participant(s) or their parent(s) and/or legal guardian and their respective school and provided to the Company must be true, accurate and not misleading in any way. If the Participant or the Participant’s parent and/or legal guardian provides at any stage untrue, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information.
If at any time, even after delivery of the prize, any information submitted by the Participant(s) or parent(s) and/or legal guardian is found to be false, inaccurate, or otherwise misrepresented or misleading, the Participant Will be liable to return all amounts received from the Company.
The Company will keep all information collected from the participants/contestants (including the recorded video rounds or any interviews conducted) confidential and will use the same for the purpose of the Contest. Parents and/or legal guardians hereby expressly consent to the collection, storage and processing of such personal data and proprietary information obtained from them. The term “Personal Data” shall mean and include name and contact information (home address, phone number and email address), valid identity proof such as passport number, Aadhaar number, any personal information such as date of birth or other details related thereto. The identity of the contestant(s) is being collected for the purpose of the Contest and this will include sensitive personal information, if any.
The Company will deal with any personal data that it receives from participants/contestants or otherwise collects, holds, uses and processes in the following manner: a) The Company will disclose the personal data, if any, to government agencies and regulators (e.g. for example, tax authorities), social organizations (for example, the Social Security Administration), human resource benefit providers (for example, health insurers), external consultants (for example, lawyers, accountants and accounting examiners), courts and other tribunals, and government authorities, to the extent required or permitted by applicable legal obligations, upon prior written approval from the Company. b) The company must maintain a level of data security using technical, managerial, operational and physical security control measures that is in compliance with all applicable laws.
Notwithstanding any other provision contained herein, the Participant or his/her parent and/or legal guardian acknowledges that the confidentiality obligations shall not relate to any information which: is in the public domain or becomes available in the public domain through any wrongful act. Entrants or their parents and/or legal guardians also agree that by virtue of participating in this Contest, they give Company their consent to host personal data, including their name and photographs, on the App during the broadcast . Competition.

Participants or their parents and/or legal guardians will not pay any bribe or solicit any favor from any member of the Company. Any such act will disqualify the participants from the competition. VI. Interaction with media and third persons

No Participant/Contestant or their parents and/or legal guardians shall, before/during/post their participation in the Contest, speak to the press or any other media or any third person without the prior written approval of the Company , nor give any interviews or comments related to any aspect of the selection process or the Contest or write a blog, social networking or post any message on any site including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and Twitter Is. The Company reserves the right to take appropriate legal action against any such participant/contestant or their parent and/or legal guardian or any third party.
The Participant/Contestants and their parents and/or legal guardians will at all times keep confidential all details relating to the selection process and the Contest which may be communicated to the Participant/Contestants or which become known to the Participant(s)/Contestants and their parents. Father and/or legal guardian (in case of minors) may learn or come to know of the participant/contestants or shortlisted potential candidates.
Entrants/Contestants and their parents and/or legal guardians may not use the Contest name or any elements of the Contest in any manner or post behind-the-scenes videos or any content related to the Contest on their personal Are. social media platform or any other platform, without the prior permission of the Company. Entrants/Contestants will not attempt to monetize any clips, images or elements of the Contest in any manner. VII. System and Availability

The Company/RevoEducation Pvt. Ltd. and/or its associates/affiliates and the Company/RevoEducation Pvt. Ltd. or its associates will not be responsible for any loss or resentment or dissatisfaction caused by any contestant while playing the QUWIS Pre Qualification Quiz Round. /Partners will not be responsible for compensation for any such damages or dissatisfaction.
Contestants are advised to keep the device from which the QUWIS Pre Qualification Quiz Rounds are played adequately charged. Low battery will result in the network and/or device shutting down and as a result the contestant will not be in a position to answer the questions in the stipulated time.
The Entrant agrees to hold Company/RevoEducation Pvt Ltd and its partners harmless for any application, network, process, technical or any other failure. Any loss, injury, inconvenience, loss of privacy, inability to participate or any other inconvenience of any kind caused to the contestant or contestant’s property or equipment will not be the responsibility of the Company/RevoEducation Private Limited or its partners.
The Company/RevoEducation Private Limited will not be liable for any failure of the application server or system during playing the QUWIS Pre Qualification Quiz Round.
The Company/RevoEducation Private Limited cannot guarantee or assure uninterrupted connectivity or continuous availability of the applications, servers, systems or software to the Contestant during the conduct of the QUWIS Quiz Round as these are dependent on the App and other factors which may be beyond the control Are. The Company/RevoEducation Private Limited does not accept any liability and will not be responsible and/or liable in any way if the contestants are unable to participate in the QUWIS Pre Qualification Quiz Round due to failure on the part of the telecom operator. , facility provider, etc., or due to lack of capacity.

VIII.Telephony

If the Registrant uses a public phone or SIM card for registration which is not registered in his/her name, the Company will not be responsible to track the Registrant.
If the Company is unable to reach the registrant, the entry will be deemed invalid.
In such a situation, it is not possible to determine with certainty that the entry of a person registering from a particular mobile number will be disqualified. Registrants are requested to use phone numbers that are unique to them and not to change their registered numbers until the conclusion of the Contest.
The Company will not be liable for any failure of the IVR or SMS servers or systems that may be used to reach Registrants.
After submission of entry through the App, the registrant will not be allowed to modify/change any details/answers submitted.
Only entries received after the registration window opens will be considered valid.
The Company will endeavor to make all reasonable practicable arrangements to minimize telephone system difficulties and website downtime, including system uptime, backup of data, telephone system capacity and other technical disruptions, but cannot make any guarantees in respect of these Is. The Company and its sub-contractors are not responsible for late receipt or non-receipt or incomplete receipt or corrupt receipt of registration entries.

IX. Shortlisting (for Quiz Qualification Round)

In addition to Contestants, the Company may, in its sole discretion, also provide the opportunity to enter the Contest to unregistered individuals, depending on programming requirements, or in the event of a failure in the participant selection process or system failure. This will be the sole decision of the company.
Even after final selection for the Contest, the Company reserves the right to change any contestant as per its discretion and creative requirement for the betterment of the Contest.
The Company also reserves the right to increase or decrease the proportion of Contestants in the Contest, i.e., increase or decrease the number of Contestants participating in the Contest, without any prior notice to Contestants and/or the public.
The Company will be under no obligation to inform the parents and/or legal guardians of unsuccessful contestants at any time about its decision.
